Professor Daniel Camus

Professor in the department of microbiology at the university and Pasteur institute of Lille, France

Prof Camus has been director of a research laboratory of the French national institute of health (Inserm) during 12 years and president of the regional advisory committee for research during 5 years.

He has been the head of the vaccination center since 1976 and created in 2003 the prevention and education health center at the Pasteur Institute of Lille. In 2007 he joined the Ministry of Health where he has been in charge of the prevention and management of infectious diseases until the H1N1 pandemic where he became the special adviser of the chief medical officer.

Prof Camus published more than 200 scientific papers in the field of microbiology (diagnostic, treatment, prevention).
