Professor Fabio Pammolli
Professor of Economics and Management at the University of Florence. He is the Director of European Pharmaceutical Regulation and Innovation Systems at the University of Siena.
Professor Pammolli earned his degree in Economics from the University of Pisa and completed his graduate studies at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. He taught at the Richard M. Goodwin Faculty of Economics, University of Siena. Since 2001, he has been full Professor of Economics and Management at the University of Florence.
Professor Pammolli is the founder and director of the European Pharmaceutical Regulation and Innovation Systems (EPRIS) and of the Economic Analysis of Competitiveness and Market Regulation (CERM). He is also the founder of Advanced Technology Assessment Inc. (A.T.A.)
Professor Pammolli is a member of the Italian Health Ministry, Treasury Ministry and Industry Ministry committees. He is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian National Institutes of Health.
Professor Pammolli has served as advisor on competitiveness issues to the G-10 Group and the European Commission between 2002 and 2003.
He is the President of the Siena Life Sciences and author of several publications on the economics of innovation and applied industrial organization. His publications have appeared, amongst others, in: the International Journal of Industrial Organization, Management Science, Physica-A, Revue d’Economie Industrielle, Research Policy and Small Business Economics.
