What is Knowledge Management?

Knowledge management has many definitions but WHO uses the term to describe how the secretariat uses technology to enable people to create, capture, store, retrieve, use and share knowledge.

Our mission is to improve the understanding and application of knowledge management in the pursuit of WHO's mandate.

Blue Trunk Library Project

The Blue Trunk libraries project makes it possible to establish a network to disseminate medical and health information reaches out beyond academic and university circles.

HINARI

Over 3000 journal titles are now available to health institutions in 113 countries.

Global Health Library

Access to reliable health information for those who need it

Expert advisory panels

Expert advisory panels consist of experts from whom the Organization may obtain technical guidance and support within a particular subject.

Guidelines Review Committee

The Guidelines Review Committee was established to ensure that WHO guidelines are of a high methodological quality and are developed through a transparent, evidence-based decision-making process.
