Macroeconomics and Health (CMH)

June Consultation, June 2002

On 17 and 18 June 2002, a consultation took place at WHO Headquarters on "National responses to the CMH Report". This two-day event was attended by senior representatives of ministries of health, finance and planning from 20 countries from the developing world and by a wide variety of development partners. The consultation mapped the way forward at the country level in implementing the CMH recommendations. A broad consensus was reached on what steps need to be taken by countries in order to move quickly in this direction.

The outcome of the consultation was the drafting of an Action Plan with WHO clearly positioned to lead the process.
