Building consensus
MPAC recommendations are, as a rule, taken by consensus. In the exceptional situation that a consensus on a particular issue cannot be reached, the Chair is asked to report the majority and minority views.

Regional representation
Malaria-dedicated staff from all WHO regional offices participate in the twice yearly meeting, contributing key input to the Committee's discussions.

Observers
Representatives of the Global Fund, UNICEF and other organizations are invited to participate as observers in MPAC meetings and deliberations.

Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016-2030
MPAC members oversaw the development of the "Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016-2030". The Strategy sets the target of reducing global malaria incidence and mortality rates by at least 90% by 2030.
