Technical Expert Groups (TEGs)
Under the auspices of the MPAC, four standing Technical Expert Groups (TEGs) have been established: on Chemotherapy, on Drug Resistance and Containment, on Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation, and on Vector Control. There is also a Joint Technical Expert Group (JTEG) on Malaria Vaccines Entering Pivotal Phase 3 Trials and Beyond and a Vector Control Advisory group (VCAG) on new tools.

Joint Technical Expert Group (JTEG) on Malaria Vaccines Entering Pivotal Phase 3 Trials & Beyond
A Joint Technical Expert Group (JTEG) on malaria vaccines entering pivotal phase 3 trials & beyond was jointly established by the Initiative for Vaccine Research (IVR) and the Global Malaria Programme to provide advice to WHO on activities related to the development of malaria vaccines at or nearing the pivotal phase 3 trial stage.
Vector Control Advisory group (VCAG)
A Vector Control Advisory group (VCAG) on new tools has been jointly established by the Neglected Tropical Diseases Department and the Global Malaria Programme to evaluate “proof of principle” regarding new tools/technologies for malaria vector control.
