    The M&E course takes 1.5 to 2 hours and a certificate is awarded after passing the final exam. The course covers:
    • purposes and scope of M&E
    • difference between monitoring functions and evaluation functions
    • planning for M&E
    • conceptual frameworks, results frameworks, and logic models
    • M&E indicators and data sources
    • using information for decision-making
    The course focuses on evaluation of USAID projects but the principles are the same for many situations

    1. To develop coalitions with evaluators and evaluation organizations throughout the world, especially from developing regions.
    2. To obtain feedback from evaluators and organizations on what would be most needed and helpful.
    3. To recruit educational/research/policy organizations which can house/co-sponsor/support/review this project or parts of this project.
    4. To develop resources based on what is most needed and helpful, including On line training classes and On line consulting from evaluators experienced in conducting evaluations in developing countries.
