CDC Global Public Health Leadership and Management Forum (2010)

This meeting for senior public health program leaders in HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria in limited-resource countries will be held in Atlanta and Washington DC. The symposium will include discussions on planning for impact and policy advocacy with CDC and other public health leaders, seminars, workshops, and field trips. Participants will have opportunities to interact with each other and with experts to share best practices and new approaches for addressing the challenges of leading complex public health programs.

Forum Objectives
  • Recognize the value of public health leadership in achieving health goals
  • Provide opportunities for networking and developing relationships with public health leadership
  • Increase effective use of resources for greater public health impact
  • Engage in systems thinking and planning processes to address public health priorities and leadership challenges
  • Identify developments in disease control, management practices, and technology that support continuous improvement of health
