Better health for poor children
A special report
This document describes the need to address the issue of relations between poverty and child health. In addition to the description of the problem, the document discuss the use of already available effective and affordable interventions, and the influence of socio-cultural context on children's nutrition, health and development. Finally it raises the question of the economic benefits of investing in child health and nutrition and calls for renewed efforts to provide a fair chance of survival and health growth and development to all children.
