This leaflet is intended for individuals working at the international and national levels to support public health action in both developed and developing countries. It stresses the public health importance of adolescent health and development. It also outlines the special contribution of WHO's Department of Child and Adolescent Health and Development (CAH) to the global agenda, and outlines the specific actions being taken to help accelerate action on adolescent health and development in countries.
