CHERG estimates of the burden of malaria morbidity in Africa in children under the age of five years
Overview
In 2001, WHO's Department of Child and Adolescent Health and Development (CAH) established the Child Health Epidemiology Reference Group (CHERG) - a group of independent technical experts external to the UN system - to systematically review and improve data collection, methods, and assumptions underlying the estimates and distribution of the main causes of death of under-fives for the year 2000. This group has so far produced and published at least 25 articles and chapters of books.
