For the healthy growth and development of children
Overview
This brochure describes an intervention for early child development that is promoted by WHO as part of the Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI) strategy to reduce childhood deaths, illness, and disability, and to promote improved growth and development. The Care for Development Intervention improves the knowledge and skills of mothers and others who care for children. It introduces activities to improve interaction with children, to stimulate growth and learning, and to promote responsive care for the child’s health.
