Planning and programming
The Department recognizes several key processes in the ongoing cycle of managing programmes to improve maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health at country level. They include strategy development, programme planning, costing of the programme plan, programme review, and programme evaluation.
In order to support these processes, the Department has developed a series of compatible tools that are based on promoting a core set of effective interventions across the continuum of care for MNCAH. These tools enable the user to follow a systematic approach of planning and review and examine how desired impact and outcomes link with necessary programme outputs and inputs.
