Sixty-fifth World Health Assembly
The Sixty-fifth session of the World Health Assembly took place in Geneva during 21–26 May 2012. At this session, the Health Assembly discussed a number of public health issues such as universal health coverage, noncommunicable diseases, mental disorders, nutrition, Millennium Development Goals, adolescent pregnancy, polio eradication, financing of research and development, International Health Regulations, and the WHO reform process. It adopted a number of resolutions on these issues.
The Health Assembly also appointed Dr Margaret Chan for a second five-year term as Director-General of WHO.
