118th Executive Board - 29 May to June 2006
Opening session
The 118th session of the Executive Board opened today to discuss the process for electing the next Director-General, control of leishmaniasis, the rational use of medicines and other issues.
The session was opened by the outgoing Chairman of the 117th session of the Executive Board, Mr. M.N. Khan, Federal Minister of Health of Pakistan.
The Executive Board elected its new Chairman, Dr. F. Antezana Araníbar of Bolivia.
Dr Anders Nordström, Acting Director-General of the World Health Organization addresses the 118th session of the Executive Board.
