The Chair of Committee A, Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare of India, thanked delegates for their work to finalise reports on key health issues such as polio eradication, HIV/AIDS and intellectual property rights and health.
The Chair of Committee B, Dr Ali Jaffer Mohammad of the Oman Ministry of Health, as he gave his report to the final plenary meeting.
In his closing remarks, Dr Anders Nordström, the Acting Director-General of the WHO, remembered Dr Lee, and his determination to see polio eradication completed. "In his memory, and in honour that all of that he stood for, let us commit with absolute dedication to see that goal quickly accomplished."
