This final issue of WHO DRUG INFORMATION for 2007 highlights the 30 year anniversary of WHO's Essential Medicines concept and the Model List of Essential Medicines.

Feature articles include a review of estrogen and parkinsonism using the WHO adverse reactions database. Two perspectives on generic substitution of medicines are provided from Jamaica and Canada.

An overview is provided of latest developments in quality guidance from the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH). In addition, International Pharmacopoeia monographs for oxytocin are proposed for comment.
