Overview
The WHO Departments for Medicine collaborate with its global partners on pharmaceutical information management and support development and strengthening of technical information systems in areas such as
- Norms, standards and teminologies for safety and quality control
- Medicines legislation, regulatory control and intelligence
- Publishing of safety and regulatory alerts
- International non-proprietary names
- Prequalified medicines
- Supply of medicines
- Quantification and rational use of medicines
- Selection of essential medicines and Treatment model formulary
- Laboratory control
