Prof John Gyapong
Professor John Gyapong is a public health physician and an epidemiologist. He is the Director of the Research and Development Division of the Ghana Health Service and Professor in Epidemiology and Disease Control at the School of Public Health, University of Ghana. His research has contributed to shape the agenda for filariasis control at both the national and global level.
He has considerable experience in infectious diseases epidemiology especially Lymphatic Filariasis, Onchocerciasis and Malaria.
He is also the Coordinator of the Lymphatic Filariasis Support Centre for Africa, based in Accra and serves on several international research review committees and boards.
