Data collection and reporting
Collecting and recording information about the numbers of people who ingested the recommended anthelminthic drugs (either alone or in combination) is the most important aspect of monitoring drug coverage. Data collection and reporting forms provide simplicity and clarity, minimizing the complexities of the underlying processes of integration.
Only data that are administratively cleared and formally reported by the national government to WHO are included in the PCT Databank. By respecting data flow pathways as established in national systems (see figure below), all stakeholders involved in NTD control at country level contribute substantially towards collective accountability, resulting in more effective and accurate measurement of PC progress.
