Dr Bijan Sadrizadeh
Dr Bijan Sadrizadeh is President of the Public Health Association of Iran; member of the Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences and Chair of the National Certification Committee for Poliomyelitis Eradication.
He has held various technical and managerial positions at the national level, including director-general of communicable diseases, executive director of Primary Health Care Networks and deputy minister for health.
Dr Sadrizadeh has held various positions at WHO, including Director, Disease Control at WHO/EMRO until 2000.
He has been since been serving as member of the WHO Executive Board, member of the Advisory Committee on Health Research and chairman of Joint Coordinating Board of TDR.
