Annual review of the southern Sudan Guinea-Worm Eradication Programme

Date: 7-8 December 2010
The Ministry of Health of the Government of southern Sudan will bring together staff from the state, county and The Carter Center. The aim is to review the progress made in the past 1 year towards achieving the interruption of guinea-worm transmission in southern Sudan as well as on the surveillance in guinea-worm free areas. Plans for 2011 will also be finalized.
Third International conference on "Neglected Zoonotic Diseases" (NZDs)

The aim is to mobilize high level interest and support particularly from the public health sector and agriculture sectors for the control and elimination of neglected zoonotic diseases in all places where they represent a significant public and/or animal health burden. Progress made in prevention and control of NZDs since the 2nd international conference held in Nairobi, Kenya in 2007 will also be reviewed.
WHO Consultative Meeting on Anthroponotic Leishmaniasis Control

This is a three day informal consultative meeting of directors of the Leishmaniasis programmes and national control programme managers. Participants will review implementation of measures recommended by an Experts' meeting held in Geneva from 22-26 March 2010.
International Symposium on human African trypanosomiasis (HAT) and malaria
