WHO, civil and private sectors discuss way forward for UN summit on noncommunicable diseases

Opportunities to reduce the death and suffering caused by noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) were discussed during two days of talks between the World Health Organization and dozens of nongovernmental, civil society and private sectors organizations. Strong support was provided for the Global Strategy Action Plan which aims to prevent and control NCDs.
