- To review the NIH technical report entitled "Considerations for the safe and effective use of iron interventions in areas of malaria burden"
- To present the WHO process to develop guidelines and recommendations
- To review plans for the satellite meeting on the same topic at the Micronutrient Forum in Beijing May 13, 2008
- To begin the planning process for the 2010 Regional Consultation on safe and effective use of iron in areas of malaria burden.
