Ms Linda Shaker-Berbari
Ms Linda Shaker-Berbari holds a Masters in Nutrition from the American University of Beirut. She is also a part-time instructor at the University of Balamand – Faculty of Health Sciences teaching and supervising nutrition and public health students. Ms Shaker-Berbari has more than ten years experience in community nutrition and development work. As Program Manager at an international non-governmental organization she is in charge of overseeing program activities in Lebanon including Health and Nutrition initiatives targeting schools, refugees, mothers, infants and children.
She is currently working on a PhD research project titled: “protecting the vulnerable in times of vulnerability” which looks at policies related to infant and young child feeding during emergency and crisis situations in Lebanon. The aim of the research is to conduct a situational analysis of policies and programmatic activities related to infant and young child feeding in emergencies in Lebanon in an attempt to provide a basis for emergency preparedness for future crisis.
