Occupational health

Working towards improving the performance and access to occupational health services

GOHNET Newsletter Number 15 - Spring 2009

Foreword

Foreword

This issue deals with coverage of occupational health services and provides best practice examples from a variety of regions. Occupational Health Services have a number of preventive functions, which require trained, motivated, skilled and multi-disciplinary health workers. Reality often shows mono-disciplinary services, lack of trained human resources, and a curative approach, lack of awareness, expertise, surveillance and evaluation.
