The Japan Dental Association worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) to build and organize the scientific program of the “Word Congress 2015 ― Dental care and oral health for healthy longevity in an aging society －” held in Tokyo, 13-15 March, 2015. WHO Co-sponsorship for this conference has been granted. The conference was global and flowed from the recommendation of the World Health Assembly WHA.60.17 (2007) Oral health – Action plan for promotion, early detection and integrated disease prevention.
Scientific experiences from the conference provided decision-makers and public health authorities with evidence-based health policy in the field of oral health for elderly population.
