Introducing the Global Patient Safety Challenge 2005/2006 “Clean Care is Safer Care”
Four panelist speakers during the WHA briefing: Sir Liam Donaldson, Ms Jane Halton, Dr Dr J. Nyikal, and Dr Hussein A. Gezairy.
The informal briefing took place at the Palais des Nations, Geneva on the 19 May 2005. The purpose of the informal briefing was to inform country delegations about the Global Patient Safety Challenge, a core element of the World Alliance for Patient Safety.
The briefing focused on the development of the WHO Guidelines on Hand Hygiene in Health Care and the integration of other WHO strategies in the Global Patient Safety Challenge.
