Global Patient Safety Challenge 2005-2006: "Clean Care is Safer Care"
Following two international consultations on the development of the WHO Guidelines on Hand Hygiene in Health Care in December 2004 and April 2005, a Core Working Group was established to offer detailed technical input on the development and ratification of the final advanced draft of the WHO Guidelines and the implementation of the Global Patient Safety Challenge.
This meeting will take place at WHO headquarters in Geneva and will review progress on the implementation strategy of the Challenge and discuss specific technical issues associated with the development of the WHO Guidelines on Hand Hygiene in Health Care (Advanced Draft).
The Global Patient Safety Challenge is a core programme of the World Alliance for Patient Safety. For the period 2005-2006 the programme addresses health care-associated infection and has the theme "Clean Care is Safer Care".
