The World Alliance for Patient Safety: addressing health care-associated infection
A special briefing to about 40 participants took place at the WHO Lyon Office for National Epidemic Preparedness and Response in France. Sir Liam Donaldson, chairing the World Alliance for Patient Safety gave a presentation on the Alliance and focused on one of its core programmers, the Global Patient Safety Challenge that addresses health care-associated infection. Dr Jacques Fabry, Director of the Epidemiology and Public Heath Laboratory Claude Bernard University in Lyon participated in the meeting.
