The Commonwealth Fund - 2008 International Symposium on Health Care Policy
As part of the Commonwealth Fund's 2008 International Symposium on Health Care Policy, which brings together Ministers of Health of the Commonwealth Countries, Ministers of Health and their representatives heard an update on progress achieved following their 2007 agreement to collaborate on this initiative.
The High 5s initiative has finalised three standardized patient safety solutions and is completing the evaluation framework. The Lead Technical Agencies in the participating countries have initiated plans to coordinate and support the implementation of the standardized protocols in hospitals. Implementation is planned to start in the second part of 2009.
