Pilot study to assess research tools for used in resource poor environment: Thailand
The Research Programme of the World Alliance for Patient Safety, in collaboration with the Institute of Hospital Quality Improvement and Accreditation (HA Thailand), conducted the last pilot workshop to assess research tools for used in resource-poor environments in Thailand.
The workshop, held between 29 September and 3 October 2008, was co-chaired by Dr Anuwat Supachutikul, Chief Executive Officer of HA Thailand and Dr Philippe Michel, project lead. It was held in two hospitals in Thailand.
The workshop was successfully coordinated by Dr Santawat Asavaroengchai who together with three other investigators conducted the workshop with hospital staff. According to Dr Michel, this pilot workshop has achieved all its objectives. Strong leadership and support from HA Thailand has been the key to achieve impressive local cooperation.
