Beira Central Hospital is a large hospital on the coast of Mozambique, with a total staff of 1 568, of which 90 are doctors and 318 are nurses. It provides a wide range of healthcare services including intensive care, neurosurgery and dentistry. Its 1 028 beds (including extra beds) serve 8 496 613 people from the central region of Mozambique, of which 1 715 557 are from Sofala Province, with annual admissions totalling 27 064. The hospital has a large focus on training and hosts 350 medical and nursing students annually.

Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust provides hospital-based care to more than 356 000 people living in the surrounding area. The Trust employs nearly 3 200 whole time equivalent staff and contains 580 beds. The Trust has been found to provide some of the best skin cancer care in the UK, and is also one of the first hospitals in the UK to sign up to a movement to improve care for patients with dementia in hospital.
