These collaborative organizations have demonstrated their support to PFPS by committing to the vision and values of the project, and have agreed to support and promote PFPS as listed in the statement of support.

Action against Medical Accidents, UK
A UK charity for patient safety and justice, Action against Medical Accidents was founded in 1982. Its team of medically and legally trained caseworkers provide advice and support to people affected by medical accidents. -
All-Ukrainian Council for Patients’ Rights and Security, Ukraine
The All-Ukrainian Council for Patients’ Rights and Security works towards the implementation of patient-centred patient safety principles. It defends patients’ rights and participates in the legislative activity of the Ukrainian parliament. -
Consumers Advancing Patient Safety, USA
Consumers Advancing Patient Safety is a consumer-led non-profit organization. It aims to create a partnership between consumers and providers to prevent harm in health-care settings. -
Danish Society for Patient Safety, Denmark
Established in December 2001, the Danish Society for Patient Safety aims to ensure that patient safety is always considered when decisions are made concerning Danish health care. The Society’s board has representatives from a variety of stakeholders including health-care professionals, patient and research organizations, and local government. The Danish Society for Patient Safety coordinates the Danish in-country PFPS network. -
Families Launching Action Against Medical Error, USA
FLAAME exists to research and provide information and advice on the prevention of medication errors. It works with health-care services and patients to educate, legislate and protect those taking medication. -
International Alliance of Patients' Organizations
IAPO is a global alliance representing patients of all nationalities across all disease areas. It is made up of over 200 patients’ organizations that are working at international, regional, national and local levels to represent patients and promote patient-centred health care across the globe. -
Justin’s HOPE at the Task Force for Global Health, USA
The Justin’s HOPE project is focussed on Health-care Openness, Professionalism and Excellence (HOPE). Founded in 2003, the project provides education, research and reform toward improving health-care delivery, and encourages full disclosure to aid in the resolution of issues around adverse events. -
MRSA Survivors Network, USA
The MRSA Survivors Network was founded in 2003 and is dedicated to preventing MRSA deaths and infections. It works with health-care professionals, health-care companies and consumer organizations to provide change, support and education and to improve public awareness of MRSA and other health-care acquired infections. -
National Patient Safety Foundation, USA
The National Patient Safety Foundation has been working to improve patient safety in the US since 1997. It uses a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach to develop programmes and resources that promote positive change. -
Thalassaemia International Federation
Founded in 1987, the Thalassaemia International Federation develops and implements National Control Programmes for the prevention and quality treatment of thalassaemia and other haemoglobin disorders. The Federation promotes awareness of these disorders, their prevention and their care, works to improve research in the field, and promotes the right of all patients to quality medical care.
