Dr France Donnay

Dr France Donnay was the UNFPA representative in Pakistan, leading an office of 50+ staff at federal, provincial and district levels to support the government of Pakistan in the areas of maternal and newborn health, family planning, reproductive commodity security, gender equality, and population policies. She has worked with an extensive network of partners within the UN country team, and with NGOs and academia, and represents UNFPA and advocates for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals as well as the ICPD agenda. Dr Donnay joined UNICEF in 1994 and transferred to UNFPA in 1999, and in both organizations has provided technical support to country offices and coordinated development of maternal and newborn health policies. Her experience with successes and challenges in building international partnerships includes the new Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (both globally and in Pakistan).
