Dr Yan Guo

Professor Guo is a classically trained public health academic who has worked in the School of Public Health, Peking University for nearly 30 years. She is the former Vice Dean of School of Public Health and Vice President of Peking University Health Science Center.
Professor Guo’s is a professor in Health Policy and Management and she has taught related topics at the graduate level since 1990, co-authored some 23 articles in peer-reviewed journals and served as the principal investigator for several grants supporting research into several elements of MCH and rural health in China.
Professor Guo also has worked extensively with key partners within her duties, having served in the past as Commissioner for Social Determinates of Health, and as Board Member for the Consultation Committee on Health Policy, for the Chinese MoH and currently holds leadership positions with the Chinese Health Education Association, the Chinese Rural Health Association and the Chinese Maternal and Child Health Association.
Professor Guo is a noted public health academician who will bring important links to partners in a key region (and country) that is currently under-represented on the PMNCH Board. Her academic insights and experience could also inform key projects in the PMNCH knowledge portfolio, and help the Secretariat broaden its geographic base of experts.
