Nicole Klingen, Acting Director for Health, Nutrition and Population Unit
Ms. Nicole Klingen is the Acting Director of the Health, Nutrition, and Population (HNP) Unit at the World Bank. She returns to her position of Sector Manager for the HNP unit as soon as a new Director is announced. Prior to her appointment in 2011 as Sector Manager, Ms. Klingen served as the World Bank’s lead for both the joint Bank-WHO Core Team of the International Health Partnership and related initiatives (IHP+) and the Health Systems Funding Platform. She also served as co-coordinator of the virtual secretariat for High-level Taskforce on Innovative International Financing for Health Systems and was a co-author of the 2007 World Bank Strategy for HNP Results. Ms. Klingen is a trained economist with over ten years of operational experience, predominantly in the Middle East and North Africa.
