In "Great Expectations", six mothers living in different countries of the world shared their experiences of pregnancy, childbirth, and life with a young baby, to help highlight World Health Day 2005 – the theme of which was maternal and child health. The photographs document the process of pregnancy, birth and the first year of life for the six women and babies in their home country.
