Democratic Republic of Congo
Through the World Bank funded health sector programme, the Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has created a highly decentralized model for health sector development that has a strong emphasis on maternal and child health (MCH). Members of the Partnership (UNICEF, WHO…) were engaged in designing MCH elements for the new sector program.
DRC benefits from The Partnership Grant, for the acceleration of the reduction of maternal, newborn and child mortality. The Ministry of Health has extended an invitation for The Partnership to conduct a country visit and meet with the in country partners on the way forward for MNCH interventions.
