WHO Director-General hosts roundtable with women leaders on
MDG 5
The WHO Director-General's Roundtable with Women Leaders on MDG 5 took place on 25 September 2008 in the context of the High-Level Event on the MDGs at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The meeting aimed to build a wider constituency and increased awareness of health issues related to MDG 5, the improvement of maternal health. The participants included some 20 women leaders from around the world, i.e. first ladies and UN Agency leaders.
