2008 International Stillbirth Conference
5-7 November 2008
A joint conference of ISA (www.stillbirthalliance.org) and WHO (www.who.int) hosted by the Norwegian Society of Perinatal Medicine, Co-hosted by Norwegian SIDS and Stillbirth Society and Perinatal Research Center, Rikshospitalet University Clinic.

The 2008 International Stillbirth Conference has also received support to offer a number of stipends to participants from developing countries. The stipends will provide support for costs for travel, accommodation, registration and per diem during the stay in Oslo.
The main topics of the conference are:
- Developing countries and social inequities – policies and programs for effective prevention of stillbirths
- The challenge of fetal growth restriction – the epidemiology, causes and management to prevent deaths
- Excellence of care: prevention and management – the best evidence for management of pregnancies and stillbirths
- Providing care for bereaved parents – professional, organizational, social and peer support
