The WHO Department of Making Pregnancy Safer (MPS) is pleased to announce the Fourth Orientation Workshop on Maternal and Newborn Health Programming which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 1 to 5 December 2008. The Workshop is part of a series of capacity-building workshops organized by MPS on a regular basis.
This one-week course will equip participants with the competency skills needed to more effectively design solutions for improving MNH programmes and to plan, implement and evaluate MNH services in countries with high maternal and neonatal mortality.
The target audience is staff from governments, donor agencies, international organizations, research institutions, the private sector and NGOs involved in maternal and newborn health.
Registration will be open until 30 September 2008 and a registration fee is not required. WHO will provide course materials, lunch and coffee/tea during the workshop days. Accommodation and travel will not be covered by WHO. Applicants will need to arrange for financing of their participation in this workshop through their institutions/organizations. This course is offered in English.
