GAPPS is co-convening this international conference with UNICEF and the World Health Organization. To date, major sponsors include March of Dimes, Seattle Children's and the University of Washington School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. The conference is funded in part by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Key stakeholders and experts from around the world will collaborate to identify and prioritize recommendations for advancing research and improving birth outcomes. GAPPS has engaged an international team of investigators to showcase findings from their literature review, unpublished data review, and gap analysis. Key stakeholders include the following groups from developing and developed countries: researchers, healthcare practitioners, UN and government agencies, nonprofits and policymakers.
