The theme of the meeting is ‘STIs: old problems, new solutions’. There will be four tracks for the oral and poster presentations entitled Behavior; Public health; Clinical and laboratory aspects, and HIV. The scientific program will contain six invited international plenary speakers talking on Male Circumcision; Getting Connected (internet and the importance of sexual networks); Biological Drivers of HIV Transmission; Prevention of Mother to Child HIV Transmission; Rapid and New STI Diagnostic Tests and, finally, the current status of HIV vaccines. The North American IUSTI branch is running a pre-conference STI/HIV training course on Monday 9th November (free of charge but limited numbers).
