A Civil G8 meeting of civil society 6-7 July 2009 - preceding the Italy G8 leaders meeting - has taken place in Rome organized by the Italy Global Call Against Poverty (GCAP). The agenda included: Common Goods (including education, health and water); food sovereignty and agriculture; world economy, finance and labour; global governance and climate change and the environment. This follows an earlier Civil G8 meeting held in Rome in May 2009.
