The Scientific Programme plans to meet the needs of general pediatricians from both the developed and the developing world. The IPA advocates for the child in a global context and the major issues affecting children world-wide will be discussed. The Congress motto “Simunye - we are one” will be reflected in the programme, that will provide for practicing general pediatricians everywhere with clinical updates of all the major sub-specialties. Ethical themes and aspects of pediatric surgery relevant to the pediatrician will be integrated into the programme as well as “Academic” Pediatrics covering aspects of research and teaching at under-and postgraduate levels.
