PGPR's tenth symposium will be held on 3 May 2010 in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS). This three-part symposium is entitled: From Bench to All the World's Children: Developing and Delivering Better Health for Every Child, and will focus on the critical issue of program implementation in developing countries. Parts 1 and 3 will be comprised of expert presentations providing an overview of the problems, issues and instances of work being done. Presentations will begin with a keynote address from Roger Glass, of The Fogarty International Center. Part 2 will feature platform presentations from selected abstracts on program implementation and other global child health topics.

At the follow-up workshop on 4 May colleagues from low-, middle-, and high-income countries will meet in a more intimate setting to work together to advance the dialogue and information regarding implementation.

Registration for the PAS Meeting is required to attend the 3 May symposium. Separate (free) registration is required to attend the 4 May workshop and must be arranged by contacting PGPR. PGPR invites submissions of abstracts that relate to program implementation in developing countries. Abstracts are due by 18 November 2009 and must be submitted through the PAS website.
