PATH : Re-newsed - Global Call to Action on Diarrheal Disease
14 SEPTEMBER 2009 - This past May, PATH and partners Water Advocates and the US Coalition for Child Survival launched a Call to Action to raise awareness about the neglected priority of addressing diarrheal disease. The Call to Action – addressed to donors, policymakers, country leaders, and the private sector – launched with initial support of nearly 100 organizations from the water and sanitation, health and environmental communities.
We are beginning a second round of outreach to generate support for the Call to Action from civil society organizations and NGOs based in Africa and Asia. We hope to double the number of supporting organizations by early October and highlight their collective voice in conjunction with a UNICEF report on diarrheal disease that will be released at that time. We plan to feature participating organizations and share your success stories on our website.
