WRA: "Million Mums" campaign launched on UK Mothers Day
22 MARCH | LONDON - The White Ribbon Alliance is launching an exciting new public awareness campaign called "Million Mums" to campaign for healthcare for pregnant women worldwide and speak out against needless maternal mortality.
With the campaign, the White Ribbon Alliance hopes to bring together an active group of people to raise awareness and get a million mums (and other supporters) to sign up and donate £1 each at the new campaign website: www.millionmums.org .
Launched shortly before Britain's Mother's Day, being held this year on Sunday 22 March, the Million Mums campaign also encourages people to join the global campaign by organizing their own event to raise money.
