KAMPALA | 21 JULY 2010 - Following the African Union meeting in Kampala where African leaders said their governments and the African Union would put maternal health on top of their development agendas, Ms Thoraya Ahmed Obaid, The Executive Director of UNFPA, took the podium in a packed Main Hall of the famous Makerere University and gave a high profile lecture, which carried the case for African renewal based on the provision of quality reproductive health services.
